please post without RAR, I am not sure how to play those. not sure why its not mp3 like all the others.

RAR can be unRAR-ed using WinRar (Google it!)
I prefer M4Bs over MP3s.

I wouldn’t download RARs, they often have viruses. And compression lacks any necessity when it comes to torrents… so why do it?

I agree. I don’t know of any other compressed here and also link m4b over mp3 but 99.99% here are mp3 for multi-platorm/device playback.

Not that anyone asked, but 7-zip can extract rar files as well as winrar can.

If you don’t want to deal with a .rar file there are plenty of other books to download.
Google .rar. they’re just like zip with extra options. MP3, MP4, etc., are inside them.
Just like .zip, even the most basic AV detects viruses inside. And any uploader who wants to spread a virus can rename an .exe or .dll, etc., to mp3, mp4, etc.
This Uploader is a VERY well-known member of this community who shares a LOT.
Your momentary inconvenience is insignificant, compared to 0Day’s work for you.
Also, I believe renamed .rar files might offer some protection from the copyright search engines (a worry with James Patterson books).
Please just show some consideration and gratitude.

I’ve just downloaded this file with no problems and no viruses.
The archive contains 3 files: a *.cue file, a *.jpg file of the book cover and a m4b file of the book itself.
The book length agrees exactly with the Audible.co.uk description and it plays on my iPhone crystal clear.
